Every clinic's number is on this page. Don't go hunting through paperwork — bookmark this on your phone before your surgery.
Life-threatening emergency: call 911
Call 911 and do not drive yourself for any of these:
- Chest pain
- Trouble breathing
- Fainting
- Confusion
- Weakness on one side of the body
Go to the emergency room
Call the number for your town below — at most of these clinics that number reaches the emergency room — or go straight there. Go for any of these:
- Calf pain with swelling, or shortness of breath, after surgery
- A fall onto the joint that was operated on
- Fever over 101.5°F
- Drainage from the wound, or redness that is spreading
- Pain your medication isn't controlling
Call the clinic during the day
Anything that can reasonably wait until morning: scheduling and rescheduling, prescription refills, questions about your therapy protocol or your restrictions, forms and paperwork.
