The short version
This website exists to educate you and to help you connect with Dr. Allred's practice. Reading it doesn't make you a patient, and nothing here replaces a visit with your own doctor. The free materials are yours to read, print, and share with the people who help you — not to resell. By using the site, you're agreeing to these terms.
Education, not medical advice
Everything on this site — articles, guides, protocols, quizzes, videos, and the free book — is general education. It is not medical advice for your specific situation, and it is not a substitute for an examination, diagnosis, or treatment plan from a physician who knows you. Reading this website, downloading the book, taking a quiz, or submitting a form does not create a doctor–patient relationship with Dr. Allred. That relationship begins only when you are seen and accepted as a patient at one of his clinics.
If you think you have an emergency, call 911. Don't rely on a website — this one or any other — for urgent medical decisions.
The protocols and surgery guides
The protocols and guides here describe how Dr. Allred manages his own patients. They reflect his judgment, his facilities, and the evidence as he reads it — and they change as the evidence changes. If you are a patient of another surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions, not these. If you are a clinician, you're welcome to read and print these documents for patient care and education; use your own judgment about applying them to your patients and your setting.
Using what's here
- Patients and families: read, print, and share anything on this site for personal, non-commercial use.
- Care teams: the Staff Resources documents may be printed and used in the clinics and facilities where Dr. Allred operates, and by clinicians for education.
- The free book and other materials are copyrighted. Please don't republish, sell, or pass them off as your own. Linking to any page on this site is always welcome.
Forms and email
When you submit a form here, use your own, accurate information. If you request the free book, you'll get the download and you'll join Dr. Allred's email list — every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Outside links
Some pages link to other sites — YouTube, product pages, hospital websites, and the like. Those sites have their own terms and policies, and we're not responsible for their content.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep this site accurate and current, but medicine moves and websites lag. The site and its materials are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Dr. Allred and his practice are not liable for damages arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
