What this is

A two-sided 4×6 card that asks the patient to leave a Google review. The PDF has two pages — page 1 is the front, page 2 is the back.

  • Front: the ask, and a QR code to darinallredmd.com/review. That page lists all five towns; the patient taps theirs and lands in Google's review box for that clinic's listing.
  • Back: "If something isn't right, call me first" with every clinic's daytime number, then a second QR code for the free book — for the neighbor or spouse who's still putting off their own knee.

When to hand it out

At the two-week post-op visit, and generally not before. That visit is the moment the patient feels best about the whole thing — the pain has turned the corner, the incision looks good, and they're relieved. A review asked for then is easy to give and honestly written.

  • Hand it over at checkout, not at the start of the visit.
  • One line is enough: "If today went well, would you mind leaving a review? It really does help other people find him."
  • Local providers should have a stack too — they see these patients between Dr. Allred's visits.

Rules — please follow these exactly

  • Offer it to every post-op patient, not just the happy ones. Screening out unhappy patients is called review gating. It is against Google's policy, and listings get suppressed for it.
  • Never offer anything in exchange — no discount, no gift, nothing. That is the fastest way to lose a listing.
  • Never ask for "five stars" or any particular rating. Ask for a review; leave the rating to them.
  • Don't hand a patient a phone or tablet to write it on. A batch of reviews from one device or one network looks like fraud to Google's filters and gets them removed.
  • If a patient is unhappy, point them at the back of the card and get them on the phone with the clinic. That is what the back is for.

Good to know

  • The card is generated from the website's own clinic data, so the phone numbers can never drift from what the site says.
  • The review page sends the patient to the official Google review link for their town once those links are added. Until then it falls back to a Google search for that listing, which still reaches the review button — one extra tap, never broken.
  • Elko and Buffalo need their Google listings verified before reviews can be left there at all.
Questions about this sheet? Call the clinic where the surgery was performed. I'm happy to talk through the plan. Numbers are at the top of this page, and every after-hours line is on the emergency numbers page.
