Hooked on orthopedics since the first surgery I ever saw.
My career started with a high-school job transporting patients and cleaning operating rooms between cases. One orthopedic surgery later, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
Fifteen years of the hard cases. Then the small towns.
I trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center, completed my orthopedic residency at the University of Oklahoma, and finished with a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy fellowship in San Diego. For 15 years in Denver, I built a referral practice treating the complex cases other orthopedic surgeons sent my way — and taught arthroscopy techniques to surgeons from around the world.

Today I live in Utah and fly myself to clinics across rural Nevada and Wyoming. My only regret is not making the change sooner.

I got my pilot's license just before I moved to Utah, and having it gave me the confidence to start flying to small towns instead of asking people to drive to a city. Same surgeon, same standard, at a hospital you already know. When you do need an operation, I do it there, with a team you've met.
